Summary
Selby Jennings is seeking a VP of Finance & Operations to join their team in Washington, DC. The role involves leading the finance and operations team, managing multiple funds, and collaborating with senior leadership.
About the Role
As the VP of Finance & Operations, you will oversee daily fund operations, including trade settlements and cash movements, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage risk. You will prepare financial statements and performance metrics, support portfolio managers with data analysis, and implement operational systems to enhance efficiency.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
- 5-10 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, or financial services
- Deep understanding of equities, bonds, derivatives, mutual funds, hedge funds, and ETFs
- Familiarity with trade settlements, NAV calculations, fund accounting, and reconciliation
- Strong grasp of SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory frameworks
- Ability to identify and mitigate operational and financial risks
- Proficiency in financial modeling, performance analysis, and data interpretation
- Experience with portfolio management systems and risk software
Preferred:
- CFA highly valued
- Prior roles in middle office, fund accounting, or trade support
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional projects
