Jobot is seeking a VP of Procurement - Food Manufacturing to join their growing frozen food manufacturing client in East Los Angeles, CA. The role involves leading sourcing and purchasing functions to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity.
About the Role
As the VP of Procurement, you will oversee procurement operations for multiple manufacturing facilities, manage a team of category managers and site-level purchasing staff, and drive cost-reduction initiatives. Your responsibilities will include developing sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier agreements, monitoring market trends, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management within food manufacturing or similar industries.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Experience negotiating complex contracts and collaborating with legal counsel.
- Strong presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred:
- MBA and professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPCM).
- Familiarity with SAP procurement systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards (FSMA, SQF, USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP).
- International sourcing experience.
