Summary
Synchrony is seeking a VP, Recovery Legal Strategy to lead the strategy development and analytics for their Legal Recovery business, responsible for $100–150MM annual recovery income and a $30–35MM expense budget.
About the Role
As the VP, Recovery Legal Strategy, you will own the development and optimization of legal recovery strategies, lead advanced analytics initiatives, manage a portfolio of strategies, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. You will collaborate with various departments to drive business performance and transformation.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative major or 11+ years of relevant experience in strategy, analytics, collections/recovery, risk, or legal/recovery management.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, collections/recovery, risk, or legal/recovery management.
- 5+ years of experience with data analytics and segmentation platforms (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python/R).
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience leading legal recovery strategy in the financial industry.
- Expertise in legal/regulatory frameworks impacting recoveries.
- Advanced degree (Master's or JD) preferred.
