Synchrony is seeking a VP, Recovery Legal Strategy to lead the strategy development and analytics for their Legal Recovery business in Cincinnati, OH. This role is responsible for managing a significant annual recovery income and expense budget while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
About the Role
As the VP, Recovery Legal Strategy, you will own the development and optimization of legal recovery strategies across all Synchrony businesses. Your responsibilities include leading advanced analytics initiatives, managing a portfolio of strategies, driving cross-functional partnerships, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. You will also develop a multi-year roadmap for legal recovery strategies and monitor performance to improve operational efficiencies.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative major or 11+ years of relevant experience in strategy, analytics, collections/recovery, risk, or legal/recovery management.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, collections/recovery, risk, or legal/recovery management.
- 5+ years of experience with data analytics and segmentation platforms such as SAS, SQL, Python/R.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience leading legal recovery strategy in the financial industry.
- Expertise in legal/regulatory frameworks impacting recoveries.
- Advanced degree (Master's or JD) preferred.
