About the Role
As the VP, Trade Surveillance Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and solution design for trade surveillance platforms. Your tasks will include ensuring accurate capture of trade lifecycle events, overseeing data quality frameworks, collaborating with various teams to align technology solutions with business objectives, and managing a team of developers and analysts to foster a culture of technical excellence.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology roles within financial services or a similarly regulated industry, preferably in trade surveillance or compliance technology.
- Deep understanding of Trade Order Lifecycle events and reference data across asset classes.
- Expertise in data engineering and integration technologies (e.g. SQL, Java, APIs).
Preferred:
- Hands-on familiarity with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and reference data models.
- Familiarity with big data and cloud architectures (e.g. Azure, Databricks).
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities across business and technology functions.
