Fenway Health is seeking a VRP Bilingual Advocate to join their team in Boston, MA. The role involves providing advocacy and case management services to LGBTQIA+ survivors of violence, focusing on trauma-informed support.
About the Role
As a VRP Bilingual Advocate, you will be responsible for delivering direct services to clients, including intake, assessment, and supportive counseling in both English and Spanish. You will coordinate care, assist clients in navigating the criminal justice system, and conduct outreach to raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ violence issues. The position requires collaboration with community organizations and participation in training and community engagement activities.
About You
Required:
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
Some advocacy and case management experience.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred:
Knowledge of and experience working with the LGBTQ community.
Experience addressing partner abuse, sexual violence, and police misconduct.
Experience working with marginalized populations, particularly Black and Latinx communities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
