City of Norwalk, Connecticut is seeking a Wastewater Systems Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems.
About the Role
As a Wastewater Systems Manager, you will provide planning, administration, and supervision in the operation and maintenance of wastewater systems. Your responsibilities will include contract administration, preparing plans and specifications for public works projects, developing budgets, investigating complaints, and preparing technical reports. You will also participate in long-range planning and represent the Director in public outreach.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in civil, Environmental, or Sanitary Engineering.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems.
Preferred:
Advanced degree in Environmental or Sanitary Engineering.
Licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and/or a Connecticut Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Certificate.
