City of Fort Worth is seeking a Water Systems Supervisor - Water Meter Services to join their team in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves overseeing daily field activities related to water meter services and leading a team responsible for customer investigations and maintenance.
About the Role
As a Water Systems Supervisor, you will supervise staff, prioritize and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. You will also manage special projects, respond to complex customer inquiries, and develop training and operational best practices. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training related to assigned operation.
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass the City of Fort Worth Human Performance Evaluation.
- Possession of a TCEQ Class C Water Distribution Operator license.
Preferred:
- Project/Contract Management Experience.
- Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Familiar with billing software such as AS400-Cisco and asset management and work order software, Maximo or other.
- Previous experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), either electrical, water or gas utility.
- RF/Wireless Technology, Sensus FlexNet and Harris Meter Data Management System (MDMS).
- Bilingual/Spanish.
