Otway Pork is seeking a Wean to Finish Technician to join their team in Granada, MN. The role involves the daily care, health, and management of wean-to-market hogs in an agricultural environment.
About the Role
As a Wean to Finish Technician, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and caring for wean-to-market hogs. Your daily tasks will include administering injections, monitoring animal health, implementing feeding and nutrition management plans, and maintaining hygiene and biosecurity protocols. You will also carry out general facility cleaning and maintenance.
About You
Required:
High school diploma preferred but not required.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
Strong communication skills.
Consistent attendance and reliability.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
Respect and care for animals is mandatory.
Preferred:
Prior pork production experience is not required as on-the-job training will be provided.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
