About the Role

As a Weekend On-Call RN, you will be responsible for planning, providing, supervising, and documenting hospice nursing care in accordance with physician orders. You will offer clinical and emotional support to patients and families in crisis, assist with after-hours phone calls, and ensure compliance with Medicare regulations. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and participation in the orientation of new employees.

About You

Required:

Registered Nurse with current NC license; BSN preferred.
Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or nursing home settings.
Current CPR certification.
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

Hospice Nurse Certification.
Knowledge of reimbursement sources, Medicare regulations, and accreditation standards.
Competent computer skills.

Our services include hospice care, palliative care, pediatric hospice and palliative care, caregiver support, and grief counseling. Our service area includes eastern Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Harnett, Johnston, Orange, Granville, and Wake counties.
