Summary
Amentum is seeking a Welder - DEPOT to support the Space Force Range contract in Orlando, FL. The role involves welding various metals, fabricating precision weldments, and operating metal forming and cutting machines.
About the Role
As a Welder, you will comply with manufacturing workmanship standards, weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals, lay out and fabricate precision weldments from blueprints, and operate various metal forming and cutting machines. You will also rig and operate material handling equipment and work with higher-level welders on complex situations.
About You
Required:
- A.S. degree in Mechanical Technology or completion of a two-year related technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four or more years of related welding experience.
- Ability to read and understand written assembly and manufacturing instructions, blueprints, and use applicable tools.
- Extremely knowledgeable with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements.
- Must be physically capable to free climb and perform repairs from platforms in excess of 150 ft.
Preferred:
- Certified Welder.
- Experience using measuring instruments.
- Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends.
