About the Role
As a Welder 1st Class, you will be responsible for performing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) to bond steel for ship construction. The position requires working in a fast-paced, around-the-clock manufacturing setting, which may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather conditions. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to industry standards.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience in FCAW and SMAW.
- Ability to pass a military specification welding assessment in vertical (3G), horizontal (2G), and overhead (4G) positions.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
