About the Role

As a Wildlife Furbearer Assistant, you will conduct research and management activities related to black bears and other furbearer species. Your responsibilities will include data entry, assisting the public with wildlife inquiries, conducting fieldwork, and supporting biologists in monitoring wildlife populations and habitats. The position requires a commitment to a 40-hour work week and involves both office and outdoor work.

About You

Required:

Ability to follow instructions.
Valid motor vehicle operator license.

Preferred:

Experience with radio-telemetry and identifying wildlife tracks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
Education and/or experience in wildlife biology/management or natural resources.
Strong communication, organizational, and data entry skills.
Ability to navigate off-trail and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
