UMOS, Inc. is seeking a Work Experience Coordinator for their W2 Program to join their team in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves facilitating work experience opportunities for participants in high growth industries.
About the Role
As a Work Experience Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that work experience opportunities are innovative and aligned with labor market demand. Your tasks will include conducting site visits, marketing opportunities to employers, assisting participants in overcoming barriers, and tracking progress throughout the program. You will also conduct orientations, document worksite information, and prepare reports summarizing program data.
About You
Required:
Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) supplemented by two years of post-secondary education in a relevant field.
Minimum two years of professional experience in case management, human/social services-related customer service, counseling, or workforce development.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to navigate complex service delivery systems and aid participants in achieving vocational/educational objectives.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to customer needs with respect and diplomacy.
Experience in maintaining and utilizing participant's confidential information.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and one or more languages such as Spanish, Burmese, Rohingya, Somali, or Karen.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 and experience with database systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel for home visits.
