About the Role
As a Workplace Justice Project Attorney, you will be responsible for all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts, including fact development, legal research, and drafting legal documents. You will also provide know-your-rights training to community groups, draft legislation, and participate in coalitions to advance the goals of the Public Justice Center and the Workplace Justice Project.
About You
Required:
- Maryland bar admission or admission to another state bar with willingness to secure Maryland admission.
- Prior legal experience with low-income and oppressed communities.
Preferred:
- At least three years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
- Passion for social justice and commitment to the PJC's vision.
- Understanding of race equity analysis principles.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Spanish language skills.
