The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine is seeking a Wound Care Technician to join their team in Kissimmee, FL. The role involves coordinating patient care and ensuring overall safety while assisting with wound care procedures.
About the Role
As a Wound Care Technician, you will work closely with the clinic team to perform patient care tasks such as taking vitals, documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR), measuring and photographing wounds, and assisting physicians and RNs with wound care procedures. You will also be responsible for cleaning and stocking patient care areas, providing patient education, and ensuring compliance with safety and clinical standards.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved agency.
Valid Driver's License with a positive driving history.
Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system for patient documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to treat others with compassion and patience.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
2+ years of medical experience in an outpatient medical clinic.
