About the Role
As a Young Adult Service Navigator, you will be responsible for identifying youth experiencing homelessness, increasing collaboration between county youth serving systems, and connecting youth and families to necessary resources. Your work will include teaching community members about youth homelessness, developing identification methods in collaboration with local education agencies, and providing essential resources to those in need.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field, OR a high school diploma with 12 semester hours in relevant subjects and two years of experience in human services, including one year of mental health direct care experience.
- Experience working within youth systems such as Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice.
- Valid PA driver’s license and a reasonably clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background check, and sex offender registry clearances.
Preferred:
- Experience providing mental health services to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
- Willingness to travel throughout Westmoreland County.
