About the Role
As a Youth Care Specialist, you will work as part of the Residential Treatment team, building nurturing relationships with residents, supervising their care, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. You will handle emergency situations, provide crisis intervention, and develop structured routines for daily functioning. Additionally, you will organize activities to promote social skills and personal growth, complete required documentation, and participate in training and supervision.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years’ experience working with high risk/at risk youth, corrections or mental health population required.
Preferred:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, Criminal Justice Youth Development or a related field.
- Crisis intervention training or experience highly recommended.
