Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois is seeking a Youth Mentor for their School Based Satellite Site in Jacksonville, IL. The role involves assisting teachers and staff with program activities, providing supervision and support to program participants, and acting as a positive role model.
About the Role
As a Youth Mentor, you will assist teachers in a classroom setting, focusing on participants' personal development through diverse program offerings. You will implement guidance and discipline policies, recommend new program offerings, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Additionally, you will represent the organization to participants, parents, and the community, promoting knowledge and interest in the programs.
About You
Required:
Must be 15 years of age.
Knowledge of youth development and ability to motivate and provide guidance to youth.
Preferred:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to convey policies and procedures to participants.
Benefits
$13/hour for employees ages 15 - 17 and $15/hour for employees ages 18 and above.
Eligible for paid time off in accordance with the Paid Leave for All Workers Act.
