About the Role
As a Youth Support Worker, you will build meaningful relationships with youth participants, facilitate group activities focused on mental health and personal development, and create a safe and inclusive environment. You will also assist in developing workshops, monitor emotional and behavioral needs, collaborate with staff and community partners, and maintain documentation of participant engagement.
About You
Required:
- Passion for working with youth and promoting mental health awareness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate youth.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree (or working toward) in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in youth programs, mentoring, counseling, or mental health services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and cultural competency.
