A Hiring Company is seeking a Docket Managing Attorney to join their team in Carlsbad, CA. The role involves overseeing the lifecycle of mass-tort dockets, including case management and client communication.
About the Role
As a Docket Managing Attorney, you will lead the full lifecycle of mass-tort cases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and managing a team of Case Managers and Paralegals. Your responsibilities will include case review, eligibility decisions, client communication, and early discovery, all while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
About You
Required:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction; California preferred.
3+ years of experience in mass torts, personal injury, or complex litigation.
Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume docket or large portfolio of cases.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and empathetically with clients.
Strong organizational skills and a passion for detail-oriented, process-driven legal work.
Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate non-attorney legal staff.
Must be able to work on-site in Carlsbad, CA Monday–Friday.
Preferred:
Experience working within an MDL or coordinated state-court litigation.
Prior experience supervising Case Managers, Paralegals, or litigation support staff.
Familiarity with mass-tort case-management platforms and document workflows.
Prior background in plaintiffs’ litigation.
