Highlands County BCC is seeking a Code Enforcement Clerk to join their Development Services team in Sebring, FL. The role involves providing administrative support to Code Enforcement Officials.
About the Role
As a Code Enforcement Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving and processing zoning code complaints, coordinating responses with enforcement officials, maintaining databases, producing reports, and assisting the public with code enforcement inquiries. You will also prepare meeting agendas and minutes for the Special Magistrate and Nuisance Abatement Board, and perform various clerical duties to support these functions.
About You
Required:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalence diploma.
Three (3) years experience with planning, zoning, or code enforcement related work.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Highlands County zoning codes and ordinances.
Ability to produce and maintain spreadsheets.
