Summary
ABC & LOL, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Toddler Teacher to join their team in St Johnsbury, VT. The role involves providing high-quality care and early education for toddlers, working alongside the Lead Toddler Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging environment.
About the Role
As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, support maintaining a clean and safe classroom, supervise toddlers during various activities, foster positive interactions, follow center policies, communicate with parents, collaborate with the teaching team, and assist with personal care needs.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices for toddlers.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Complete VT Orientation upon hire.
- Mandated Reporting upon hire.
- Civil Rights training upon hire.
- Background check and fingerprint clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or early education setting is preferred but will train the right person.
- Fundamentals or a 3 credit college course or willingness to complete within 1 year of hire.
