About the Role
As a Survey Field Technician, you will work outdoors alongside experienced surveyors and engineers, collecting precise data to support land development projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveys, recording field data, collaborating with project teams, maintaining field equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of field surveying experience preferred.
- Experience operating GPS units, total stations, and data collectors.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Trimble equipment is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and Illinois labor laws.
