Medtronic is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves leading training systems governance and collaborating with IT to ensure compliance, usability, and performance of training platforms.
About the Role
As a Senior Training Specialist, you will represent the business in cross-functional work with IT, focusing on training systems governance, process improvements, and system enhancements. You will serve as a subject matter expert for CSOD, GTAT, Ask Training, and training reporting, using data-driven problem-solving tools to identify and address opportunities for improvement. Mentoring team members and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations are also key responsibilities.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of work experience in Quality or regulated industry OR Advanced degree with 2+ years of work experience in Quality or regulated industry.
Preferred:
Demonstrated expertise as a business representative in training technologies.
Strong understanding of system governance, process improvement, and stakeholder communication.
Experience with enterprise learning management systems (especially CSOD) and/or training request platforms like ServiceNow.
Proven ability to manage medium-to-large-scale projects from start to finish.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with adult learning theory and how it applies to training program design.
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, pharma).
Lean Six Sigma certification or similar experience with process improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
