About the Role
As a Fish and Wildlife Technician 3, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing a salmon counting weir, enumerating salmon passage, collecting ASL data, and reporting data to office staff. You will also manage weir camp facilities, participate in camp chores, and maintain a working relationship in a shared living environment.
About You
Required:
High school graduation or equivalent.
Six months experience at the developmental level of fish and wildlife technician or aide, or one year of technical laboratory and/or field experience involving fish or wildlife research.
Preferred:
Experience working at a weir.
Experience identifying salmonids.
Remote living experience.
Experience with and the ability to operate firearms.
Experience operating small skiffs.
Experience living and working around bears.
Experience working with power tools.
