Summary
N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join their team in Wake County, NC. The role involves serving as a ServiceNow Platform administrator, implementing and maintaining a secure and efficient platform configuration for NCDOT.
About the Role
As a Systems Administrator II, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of support and maintenance, user & access management, incident & problem management, service catalog management, automation & orchestration, reporting & analytics, integration & API management, upgrade & patch management, security & maintenance, and performance optimization. You will also administer cloud SaaS-built solutions that support the business functions of NCDOT and provide Tier 3 end-user support.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in systems software programming OR Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computers and related peripheral equipment and information technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the various systems software and layered products and the specifics of the configuration within the user environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the applications and uses of the system to provide advice in applications development or to troubleshoot applications or networking problems to identify system software solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and methods used in obtaining maximum utilization of computing equipment.
