N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join their team in Wake County, NC. The role involves serving as a ServiceNow Platform administrator, implementing and maintaining a secure and efficient platform configuration for NCDOT.
About the Role
As a Systems Administrator II, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of support and maintenance, user & access management, incident & problem management, service catalog management, automation & orchestration, reporting & analytics, integration & API management, upgrade & patch management, security & maintenance, and performance optimization. You will also administer cloud SaaS-built solutions that support the business functions of NCDOT and provide Tier 3 end-user support.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in systems software programming OR Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computers and related peripheral equipment and information technology.
Demonstrated knowledge of the various systems software and layered products and the specifics of the configuration within the user environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of the applications and uses of the system to provide advice in applications development or to troubleshoot applications or networking problems to identify system software solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and methods used in obtaining maximum utilization of computing equipment.
