Summary
NAVWAR is seeking candidates for the position of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment in Mayport, FL. The role involves daily inspections and operational tests of emergency arresting gear and optical landing systems.
About the Role
As an Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment technician, you will perform daily inspections and operational tests of all emergency arresting gear and optical landing systems. Your responsibilities will include cleaning equipment, reading mechanical blueprints and wiring diagrams, and maintaining files, reports, and logs in accordance with directives.
About You
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the WG-10 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Preferred:
- Experience with daily inspection, operational tests, and repairs to arresting gear, cables, and optical landing systems.
- Ability to compile lists of required parts, supplies, and components for approval.
