Valley Health Physician Alliance is seeking a Lead Medical Office Specialist to join their team in Henderson, NV. The role involves overseeing the overall functions of the medical office, including patient scheduling, check-in and check-out processes, and managing medical records.
About the Role
As a Lead Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the medical office's operations, which include patient scheduling, managing check-in and check-out processes, documenting registrations, communicating with patients and providers, handling insurance authorizations, collecting payments, and maintaining medical records. You will also oversee clerical responsibilities, ensure patient rights are respected, and lead other Medical Office Specialist staff in their duties.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three years’ experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Specialist.
Familiarity with medical terminology required.
Experience with patient check-in and check-out process.
Preferred:
Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant/Specialist program or Medical Assistant program.
Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion preferred.
Must maintain CPR certification.
EMR Experience.
