Summary
Kite is seeking a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining the core blockchain infrastructure for their sovereign Layer-1 EVM compatible chain.
About the Role
As a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for core protocol operations, managing EVM node infrastructure, designing monitoring systems, and optimizing node performance. You will lead the deployment and maintenance of the sovereign chain, ensuring robust upgrade processes and integrating EVM and Avalanche technologies. Additionally, you will implement security practices, participate in audits, and conduct performance testing to enhance network reliability and efficiency.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years experience in blockchain infrastructure or protocol engineering roles.
- Understanding of EVM internals, client implementations, RPC, and chain state management.
Preferred:
- Proven experience managing one of the top L1’s EVM and Go-based chains.
- Experience running & scaling blockchain infra in cloud-native and bare metal environments.
- Familiarity with cross-chain messaging protocols & bridge design (e.g. LayerZero, Wormhole, Axelar).
- Proficiency with DevOps tooling (Terraform, Kubernetes) and CI/CD for infra management.
- Strong understanding of p2p networking, consensus algorithms, and chain upgrade procedures.
- Experience with sovereign chains, appchains, or building & maintaining L1 or L2 networks.
- Familiarity with AI + blockchain integration patterns (compute marketplaces, zkML, etc.)
